Bio: Adam Wexler
January 2nd, 2008 by adamAdam is a lifer in Houston, except for four glorious years spent on the Forty Acres in Austin (That’s right he went from enrollment to graduation from the University of Texas in - believe it or not - four years.) He’s been a player on the Houston sports scene ever since.
He spent five years with the Houston Aeros in a variety of capacities and was there on the ice (with a microphone of course) when the Aeros won their first of two championship trophies. His background in sports media coverage here in Houston contains a little bit of everything.
He’s done play-by-play for high school football, basketball and baseball and has seen firsthand some of the area’s top athletes as they began their road to stardom. Adam was the editor of several Houston-area sports publications including the Houston Texans Weekly, Houston Sports News and the very well-received Space City Sports.
Over the last several years, you may have seen Adam on the television airwaves on the Astros pre- and post-game shows serving as fill-in host and as a guest analyst. He was a frequent guest on KTBU’s High School Sports Live and has also been a guest on KPRC-TV’s Sports Sunday as well as a regular panelist on FSN’s Houston Sports Beat. Additionally, Adam was the producer of the long-running and award-winning Sports Sunday program.
In addition to hearing Adam daily on the Night Shift at SportsRadio 610, you can also hear him handling the pre- and post-game shows for the Houston Rockets and as Host of the Houston Texans Countdown to Kickoff and Fan Feedback on SportsRadio 610.
