How are Your Backboards Designed?
Premium basketball goal backboards come in clear acrylic or tempered glass. Pro Dunk backboards are supported by a heavy-duty aluminum frame that is strengthened with steel "L" brackets at the corners for added stability. Backboard markings are etched and not painted on ensuring your backboard will look great for years to come. Our acrylic basketball backboards are a full 1/2 inch thick and rebound much more solidly than thinner backboard alternatives.
What Do I Need To Know Before Buying A Backboard?
Backboards mainly differ on three fronts including shape, size and material. For example, in the NBA/NCAA and most new gyms, you'll find a rectangular 72 x 42 x 1/2 inch tempered glass backboard. When asked to imagine a backboard, most people will think of the classic white fan shaped backboard with an orange shooter's square. These are still made today in an aluminum reincarnation and can be found on school and park courts.
