The Hercules Diamond is the ultimate fixed-height in-ground basketball goal system. The mammoth 8" square pole adds a base of incredible stability. A five foot overhang allows regulation dimensions on your court while promoting safe play. The regulation sized backboard is a full 1/2" thick adding an unsurpassed level of rigidity and professionalism. This system is designed and warranted to handle demanding institutional abuse while making no performance compromises. Bigger Is Better!
No system available has a larger pole. The one-piece 8" square pole is a full 7 gauge thick.


The Diamond's 5 foot extension arm allows for a regulation overhang of 4 feet. The large overhang also adds another level of safety for players driving in for lay-ups and boxing out underneath the basket.


The professional backboard has the same regulation dimensions found in arenas around the world. We have thickened the backboard to 1/2" for added stability and increased rigidity. The added thickness is proven to increase performance of the board by up to 31% percent over other thinner backboards.

Tempered glass performs better and is more durable over time than acrylic. It is the preferred material for backboards in most cases unless you are very price conscious or are concerned about vandalism.

Performance
The rebound response of tempered glass is 31% greater than acrylic because it is a much heavier and harder material. All professional arenas use tempered glass backboards.

Durability
Tempered glass resists scratching and will remain crystal clear for the life of the basketball system just like your car windshield. Acrylic is a softer material that will accumulate scratchs from grit on the ball and dirt in the air over time giving the backboard a cloudy dull look. Although acrylic will cloud, it will never shatter making it better for hostile environments where performance is not paramount.

Price
Acrylic is more economical than tempered glass in most cases although prices continue to narrow with the rising cost of plastics around the world.
