Comparing a 60 vs. 54 Inch Backboard

I have a 30 long by 22 wide area. What size backboard would you recommend? I was looking at the Produnk Silver
The 30 foot is the depth of your court, right?
22 foot wide court?
Yes 30 foot from baseline towards 3 point area
Gotcha. That’s a great depth on the court. The Gold would be a good fit because you can take full advantage of the longer extension arm at 4 feet compared to 3 feet on the Silver.
It will give you more room underneath the basket to run in for layups and box out for rebounds.
You have the depth to handle it too. Even if you install the pole right at the driveway edge, you’ll still have room at the top of the key for a three point line and room to step behind it and take a shot.
any other differences besides size of backboard, price, and extension?
Also, 20 feet is kind of my magic number for the width of the court. Under that, you could not benefit from the wider 60 inch board. Over that and you can. You’ll get in more bank shots from the wings with the Gold’s wider board.
Backboard size, Pole Size, Overhang and price are the main differences.
Look at this great table of all of our in-ground, adjustable basketball hoops to compare specifications
The effective benefits of the Gold are, more area underneath the basket to play, more bank shots and better performance.
How low does the gold adjust. I have a 5 year old
Both systems adjust all the way own to 5 feet.
Also, in addition to the actuator we have in the back to adjust the system. We have something very unique. A lift-assist mechanism. This pulls on the extension arm neutralizing the weight of the backboard making height adjustment easy enough for a 6-year-old.
Sounds good I will be deciding this weekend. Thank you
