Pavers add a runway about the width of the key (12 feet) underneath the backboard giving players room run underneath without running in the grass.
This shot was taken from the second story of the house from the elbow. A stained fence runs the right hand side of the court while a grassy hill and natural greenery flanks it. This also keeps the ball bouncing instead of going dead when practicing jump shots or free-throws.
