Installation
Does the pier come with each Pro Dunk® goal?
Yes, you will receive everything you need besides the concrete to make your footing.
What are the dimensions of the Pro Dunk® pier template?
Bronze through Platinum all use the same pier template. The 5/8" J-bolts are exactly 9" apart.

the pier. The Diamond system
uses a unique pier system that uses 6 J-bolts (view).

Are your installation instructions available online?
Yes, you can find the installation instructions for all equipment on this page.
Please always use these instructions as the one provided with the system may be dated.
Do you install your basketball systems?
We do provide installation services in the Houston, TX area. Otherwise, we recommend taking a look at the installer page
to find an installer in your area. We recommend one of the national installers listed such as Jez Inc. or USAssembly.
Can I really install this basketball hoop?
When installing a Pro Dunk® basketball system the hardest part is digging the hole. Once dug, the actual assembly
of the hoop is quite simple. There are only 8 main bolts on the system and everything can be done from a standing
position without ladders. Individuals all over the country have installed the Pro Dunk® systems and so can you.

for installation instructions. If you do not feel comfortable installing the hoop yourself, reference our
list of installers
to find one near you.
How much does installation cost?
Cost of installation depends on many factors. First if you are not within an installer's normal installation area,
you may need to pay for a trip fee. If you have special circumstances such as an old basketball goal that needs to
be taken out or need your driveway jack hammered this might increase costs as well. Prices will vary installer
to installer. We have found that for a basic install you will pay around $300.00 to $400.00. For a list of
installers, click here.
How long does installation take?
If you are installing a Pro Dunk® system you will be using a two step process. The first step is pier installation.
This is the concrete work. Digging and poring concrete should take you around 1 to 2 hours. After the concrete has
(3 - 7 days) cured, you will bolt the top on. The assembly of the Pro Dunk® system should also take 1 to 2 hours.
After assembly you're done and ready to play!
Where can I find somebody to install my basketball system?
You can reference the
list of installers
we have to find somebody in your area. We'd recommend one of the national installers such as Jez Inc. or USAssembly.
These national companies have independent and company owned installers all of the country that specialize in basketball
equipment.
How much space do I need for a Pro Dunk® System?
The footing will need about 18" square. To adjust the system you will need roughly 15" behind the footing. Below is a
chart showing extension arm distances (front of the pole to the front of the backboard). The front of the rim will be
2 feet from the front of the backboard.
|

Also, you should consider your court. You will need about 19' from the front of the backboard back to allow for
free throws (free throw line is 15' from the front of the backboard). For more dimensions to consider,

for court dimension diagrams.
How far should I set the system off of the driveway?
Optimally you want the system to be right against the edge of your playing surface. This is so you get the full benefit
of the extension arm. You will not have to worry about stepping off of the court when driving in for a lay-up and the
ball will stay in play more often. This is not always your best solution. Sometimes the playing area is too shallow
for this. If you have a shallow playing area (cannot fit a free throw line - 15' from the front of the backboard) you
might consider backing the system up some to give you more shooting area.
Should I form up my pier?
If you want your pier to look more aesthetically pleasing you can although it does not have any structural benefits. We
do recommend building the pier up a little to reduce the amount of running water around the J-bolts. We also recommend
having the footing slope away from the bolts to keep water from pooling around them.
Shipping
Who will be shipping my basketball system?
Since our basketball hoops are so heavy we do not use normal light carriers such as UPS and FedEx. We ship our systems
via R+L Carriers which is a freight company. Each truck is equipped with a lift-gate for your convenience. You can
visit their web site at http://www.rlcarriers.com.
How long will it take once my system has been shipped?
You can reference this map
for shipping times from our Houston based warehouse.
How do I track my order?
Once your order has send for delivery we will send an email to you with your tracking number. You can go to
http://www.rlcarriers.com and enter the tracking number
you received via email in the Shipment Tracing box located on the right hand side of the home page.
Do I need to be there for delivery?
Yes, you will need to sign for your shipment. There is no way around this. Once you inspect your shipment for damage
you will need to sign a shipping document called the Bill of Lading (BOL). Once your shipment is at the doc closets
to you, R+L Carriers will call and schedule a delivery time of your order.
What if there is damage to my order?
Make sure you have the truck driver make a note of ANY damage after which you can still accept the shipment.
If, while installing, you find that you need replacement parts and damage was noted on the Bill of Lading (BOL)
when the shipment was accepted call our shipping department at 1-888-600-8545 and we will claim this through
