No doubt that this is a great hoop. It looks and feels much better than typical hoops you might see at your friends' homes. If you're on the fence and are wondering if you should spend the extra $400 or so (like I was), you can go for it and be quite assured that you won't regret it. I would also suggest having a "professional" install it.

I purchased the Pro Dunk system based on a neighbor's recommendation (my wife would have preferred I bought the $600 national sporting goods retailer model). Installation, strength, stability, quality and ease of use are all AS ADVERTISED. My 10 year-old daughter loves it so much she was outside shooting hoops yesterday (January 17 = 25 degrees in Wisconsin)! I would highly recommend this system to anyone on the fence.

I performed an extensive search for the best basketball goal available. I looked at reviews, I went to several stores and actually looked at the products and then I made the decision to go with Pro Dunk. I clicked to order the product on a Friday afternoon and it was delivered the following Tuesday before noon. Included were detailed, understandable instructions and the goal. We installed the goal per instructions. Make no mistake, installing a basketball goal like this involves digging and concrete so if you are not into that kind of work, hire it out. There are local installers that can easily be found. At any rate, once the goal was up and running, I am completely satisfied. I have children from around the neighborhood coming over to play on this goal. My 6 year old son raises and lowers the goal. It is solid and the rim reacts appropriately - some give but not much. The goal gets dunked on all the time and I do not worry about it breaking. The pole and other solid parts makes the difference. Overall, it was less expensive than comparable goals - but I say "comparable" because the backboard is thicker, the pole is thicker and the other parts are better quality. It even came with a basketball and pump. Nice addition but my shot still sucks. I highly recommend this product. For once, i actually made a right decision.

Being able to erect a goal so similar to the goals used at sporting facilities was beneficial to our young players progress as a shooter. Having a larger sturdy backboard allows me to run rebounding drills with him at home. Can't wait to have it to use over a whole summer.

We are really happy with the basketball goal. I'm glad we bought the adjustable version. Everyone uses it from 3rd grade to 9th grade and I can now dunk.

I set it up myself, poured the concrete next to our Asphalt driveway and added a little extra rebar for my own personal reasons. I had no problems and it looks great. My kids love it and I use it alot too. The only bad thing I can say is that when I meet the shipping truck to get my product the box and stuff was beat to death and looked like it had been in the rain. I wrote this on the shipping letter incase something was damaged but, it was all OK and had no problems.

My friends and I like to play pick up games after work and on weekends. This is a top of the line system. Its very sturdy and easily adjustable. It looks great in my driveway. My only problem is that i havent painted my three point line, free throw line or lane. It takes a little time to install but its well worth the effort.

My 3 kids play on 3 different goal heights for their games. It's great because each child can easily adjust the goal to their specific goal height when practicing at home. Our family gets tons of use from this versatile goal.

This product is the real deal, just like in the high school gymnasium. Practice in the driveway is the same as having a key to the gym and getting up shots. That is why, I say this product is the "real deal".

I have always loved playing basketball since I was a very young boy and now I have twin 16 year old sons who love the game almost as much as I do. Purchasing this goal was the best investment I ever made into quality time with them. We now play basketball as a family all the time and have neighbors over for pick-up games. The goal is so sturdy that I don't worry about it falling over on them after one of them performs a "monster" dunk. My only regret is that I didn't purchase one 10 years ago.

Our hoop was set up in two days by myslef and my son. If cement didn't have to cure we would have been using it the same day. Instructions on line (you tube) were helpful. My son has worked on all aspects of his game regularly. He gets out there even after high school games to shoot on a system he feels is improving his game. Thanks Pro Hoops.

This hoop is perfect for my kids 7 and 12, but its also a great solid hoop that is excellent for any age and level of player. We've had some monster games on this hoop so far with some "real players" hanging on the rim. My boys love the fact that it adjusts down so low that they can have a dunking contest with each other. I put the hoop up myself and only needed a helping hand attaching the backboard to the pole (this thing is heavy). Really straight forward and easy to install, not the usual hundreds of small parts and nuts and bolts. Just make sure to pour a good concrete base and this hoop is very solid. The guys are still using it every day in the middle of a Maine winter. Adjusts easy with the smooth operating crank. My 7 year old has no trouble putting this hoop all the way up or down. Takes about 60 seconds to adjust from the lowest to the highest setting. As you can probably tell, I'm a big fan. This thing is night and day better than the cheaper hoops with smaller poles and thinner acrylic backboards. We got the optional Rust Guard because we live near the ocean. We've only had the hoop for a few months, but no sign of any corrosion at this point.

My kids love their new Pro Dunk Hoops Basketball system. As soon as chores and homework are finished they disapperar outside to play. My kids range from 4 to 13 so the goal is adjusted to different heights frequently. The height adjustment is easy enought for both my 10 and 13 year old children to manage and can be done in just a couple of minutes.

Great B Ball Goal!! Very stable and not too hard to install. I'm a 40 yo man with a 10 & 13 yo and we did it all ourselves . They love that it will lower down to their level so they can dunk. Great exercise and great family fun.

We use the goal for practice and games between family members (young adults) and their children (our grandchildren). The manufacturing of the goal system seems to be first class and the finish looks good as well. Our installation actually went better than expected as it only took two adults and my grandson to assemble. Understanding that our system has only been installed 3 months, the goal adjusts vertically easily.

Son and daughter increasing their skills every day. Youngest daughter's league plays at 9' which is a quick and easy adjustment - the kids can do it themselves, so they can play whenever they want.

I was a little worried when this thing showed up with the packaging, as it was all wrapped in a combination of a crate and cardboard on a big pallet. I was already digging the hole to the recommended size, but when I attempted to lift the backboard with it's 1/2 inch glass, I went back and doubled the size of the hole... deeper and wider at the base. Considering this mammothly heavy thing was going to hang out at least 4' off center from the hole... After a week of letting the concrete cure, actually installing the thing was not difficult at all. When it came time to attach the backboard, I just put the backboard on saw horses in the back of my truck, then backed under the pole, lowered the pole down to the backboard, threw the bolts in, and that was it... That was the only time I used 2 people, for everything else I was able to install myself. Something I also did was use extra strong 5000 PSI concrete for the top part of the base, where the anchors fit in. I also put concrete dye (black, in my case, you can buy it right at your big box store where you are getting your concrete) to the last few bags. I couldn't match the concrete that it was next to, so matched the new concrete to the black pole, and it looks awesome that way.... As for the goal, I spent the extra cheese and got the stainless hardware and rust resistant frame. It is very well built. When you shoot the thing is quiet and solid, and has a great rebound feel. The rim is on springs and is super solid itself, giving it a very "professional" look and feel. The system is also super easy to adjust. My 8 year old can easily crank the thing up and down (they like to have it lower of course). There is also a "limiter" pin you can install so it doesn't get lowered too much (I'm a little worried somebody will back a car under it, so I have the limiter pin installed and my Ford Explorer fits under it easily without fear somebody has adjusted the goal too low...) All in all, this was a little more money than I wanted to spend, but I think the quality of the goal is well worth it. My kids are outside a lot more, and both of them are getting a lot better at just throwing the ball around and their hand-eye is getting better for other stuff too. I am SUPER happy I did this, and SUPER happy with the quality of this goal. I don't think you will be dissappointed... Just for reference, I am a super picky engineer type... Mechanical Engineer by education, pilot by profession, and full time tinkerer.

I'm very pleased with the entire experience, so I'll just put it plain and simple and from the beginning: Customer service was great. Courteous, answered all my questions, etc. Order was filled and was seamless, exactly how you want it. No gimmicks, no hassles, no missing parts, etc. System itself is high quality. We were all very impressed. The backboard took two guys to bring out, yes, it's that big and heavy. I inspected for quality issues, dents, scratches, etc. and found nothing wrong - not even a greasy fingerprint. Setup instructions were easy enough. We dug an over sized hole by hand and used a cement mixer, so that was really the hardest part. Came back 2 weeks later and set it up in about an hour without a single issue. The board is solid. S O L I D. That was really the one thing I told them we wanted: board response - and this one has it. The rim looks like a pro breakaway, glass is thick, post is thick and sturdy. People come look at it and are all very impressed with the quality. Ten of us got together at the office to purchase this unit at work. We are all completely happy with it and I would recommend the gold system to everyone.

We have the Gold package. Installation was complete within four days of the initial order. I had some initial concern about a crack in the base concrete, but was relieved to be reminded that the warranty on ALL items is lifetime. In addition, when a crew was sent to in to inspect and evaluate my concerns, they offered to tear out the concrete on the spot and redo the entire installation. I chose to follow their advice and monitor it instead and there have been no problems. Part of what I expected in the (relatively) high price was customer service; they deliver! I chose all options, including the weather resistant ones; time will tell how it holds up. It looks amazing though and has been quite the neighborhood draw for kids. I love seeing a group of young people with my kids outside playing pickup games is the driveway.

My 10 year old asked repeatedly for a driveway basketball hoop for Christmas. I researched everything that the big box stores had to offer, but nothing compared to the Pro Dunk Gold. Installation was a breeze, the system is as solid as a rock, and I fully expect to get many years of enjoyment from this setup. My driveway has become the "go to" destination for all of the young hoop players in the neighborhood. I highly recommend Pro Dunk Hoops.

We've been very pleased with the Pro Dunk Gold hoop. I got it for my kids as a Christmas present (ok, it was really for me just as much as for them :) ), and it's really solid and the backboard response is awesome. I had it put in at the same time we did a driveway extension, so we have a really nice shooting area now. It's fun to lower it and dunk on it, and I weigh around 167 or so and hang on the rim, and it doesn't hurt it at all. The hoop is really easy to adjust as well. My kids can do it with no problem. My kids could basically destroy a tank, so I needed something that was really strong and would hold up over the long haul (my kids range in age from 3 to 9, so this thing needs to last for a long, long time). So far, it seems to fit the bill just fine. Also, the phone support for this company is great. I made multiple calls before purchasing, and did a chat session as well, and the guys did a good job of answering my questions and were really easy to work with. Also, shipping was great, and I had no problems with getting the product really fast. This hoop is not cheap, but if you want something that will last, I think it's a wise purchase. It's the only goal I could find that warrants hanging on the rim, and this product can definitely handle it. I had considered purchasing a Bison goal, which seems to be a good product as well, but the extra gusset support, bigger pole, thicker backboard glass, easier adjustment, and better warranty were the reasons I went with Pro Dunk. I have no regrets about this purchase, and the kids really like the goal as well. I highly recommend it.

My son and daughter play on hoop teams and my old hoop wasn't up to the challenge. I researched different hoops for months and then convinced my wife that this one was worth the money. Now even she comes out to play. My kids say that this hoop is as good or better than the ones they play on at the different schools in the district. I am very pleased with our selection and I know we will use it for years to come.

We installed this ourselves and use it as part of our sport court. My family loves using it for practice and pick up games. It's great to know where our kids are playing and who their friends are! Quality is top notch, no problems except the BB they included couldn't hold air. Problem solved quickly with them sending a new ball no questions asked. Thought I might have remorse after getting this because it was a stretch financially but I'm glad we decided to go with this system.

We play hoops everyday. I have three boys 8, 11, & 14 and a bunch of neighbor hood kids. I love that I do not have to monitor the kids. They can swing on the rim like "little monkeys" an adjust the hoop on their own. This hoop was an investment into our family time. I look forward to the next ten plus years playing basketball while my sons are still at home. Time flies by way to fast, I don't want to waste my time on replacing a hoop or trying to fix a cheep one. If you are on the fence on the $$ think about it as an investment into your time with your kids. Quality product gives you quality time with the family. Buy this hoop and you won't have to think about it again. The sooner you buy it the sooner you can start playing on a great product. This might not make the installers happy but if money is tight this is one place you can save some cash an install it yourself. I am not in the trades, but I can dig a hole and fill it with concrete. Watch the Youtube video and follow the instructions and call the help line if all else fails.

OK .......................... 1- are you looking for something that will add value to your home and blend well with about anything? Then this is it! Being a homeowner and wanting something that would not be an eyesore for me or my neighbors, I searched the web over trying to locate the "perfect" match and when I came across this one, I thought "this just may be it". Well, I wasn't disappointed one bit once it was installed and finished. It truly looks great! 2- I honestly do not know exactly what a commercial or professional goal would entail, but would like to think I have a decent idea. This goal is plenty "beefy" for what our family does and actually outperforms my expectations! It is solid and H_E_A_V_Y !!!!! 3- Assembly wasn't bad at all, but then again, I am very handy. I would say digging the hole and filling with concrete was the worst part. And knowing the equipment was very heavy, I did not skimp on this item. The hole was dug 4 feet deep, slightly belled at the bottom portion, and was 20 inches square. It took 27 eighty pound bags of concrete to fill (2,160 pounds). The post is now rock solid and isn't going anywhere! I did everything by myself except for mounting the backboard and actually devised a method that allowed only me and my wife to complete this task. This is definitely a doable job for the handy! 4- Overall, we are all happy; especially the wife. I did pay for the additional rust proofing and I’m so glad I did. I feel it will pay for itself in the long run. I don’t have any regrets about this purchase.
